My name is Priscila. I am a Brazilian teacher of English as a second or other language (TESOL). As you will see along my posts I still have a lot to learn about English, but for years people who know me in person have told me I should publish what I study and what I do in my classes. Well, I just decided to give it a try.
I live in Charlotte, NC, now, where I teach and study TESOL (or TESL as it is more commonly called here) and I have learned a lot from this experience. I currently teach at ELTI (English Language Training Institute) at UNC Charlotte. My students are all young adults from many different countries. I am a graduate student at the TESL program at the same university. In addition to that, I have a background in another field that complements my view of teaching – I am a Speech Language Pathologist and Audiologist – but that is a long story that you may find in another post.
On this blog you will find materials for your classes – if you are a teacher; or suggestions to study by yourself – if you are a student. You will also find links to resources I consider useful for English learners. If you are interested on my personal experiences, you will find a page where I will post them and a page where I will post my academic work.
Enjoy it, and please leave questions and feedback. I will love to read them. If you need resources for some specific class, leave a mesage and I will be more than happy to help.
