In a Nutshell is a series of short posts where I try to explain some key concepts in language teaching and learning. I will introduce those concepts in the fewest possible words; therefore, do not expect the explanations to be deep and extensive. The idea is to present terms and theories in simple words and, hopefully, give my readers a head start into studying something new.
Are there any terms in language education that you would like me to post here? Send me a message and I will write about it.
Here are some of the terms in the series:
- Backward design
- Miscue analysis
- Multicultural literacy and multicultural literature
- Critical literacy
- Multimodal Texts
- Subtractive schooling
- Disciplinary literacy
